Immaculada is a gothic horror film written and directed by Charlie Garcia Vitug and co-written by Joaquin Muñoz Consing. The film is a co-production between CVP Films and Arrowhead Cinepoint Audio Visual Rental, in association with Antarctica Remote Post Production Studio and the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Slated for release in 2027, it was produced under the support of the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ CreatePH Films Funding Program.

After 2 years in the development stage, it was a Semi-Finalist of the Sine Kabataan Film Festival in 2025, where it was further developed in screenwriting and pitching labs under the mentorship of award-winning filmmakers Dustin Celestino and Geoderic Lomuntad respectively. The film’s early stages of development took place at the BenildeFilm Genre Screenwriting Workshop under the mentorship of horror screenwriter and President of the Filipino Screenwriters Guild Wanggo Gallaga.

THE CAST

Leading the cast of Immaculada and portraying the role of the protagonist Marian is Elora Españo, New Wave Best Supporting Actress nominee of the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival and Best Supporting Actress winner at the 2024 Sinag Maynila Film Festival. Portraying the role of her father, Lito, is Joel Saracho, one of Philippine cinema’s most distinguished veteran actors seen in award-winning ensembles such as Ang Duyan ng Magiting and GomBurZa. The cast is further strengthened by Carla Zarcal, portraying the role of the mother, Vivian, whose work has been seen across Philippine independent cinema and television.

Completing the cast is Victor Relosa, widely known as the ‘Vivamax King’ for his prominent leading roles across the Vivamax slate. Recently, Relosa has ventured into prominent festival favorites across the QCinema International Film Festival, Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, and Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival. Immaculada is his first horror-driven role, portraying a demonic figure known to Filipino folklore.
